By "new" I mean movies you've never watched before....I watched around 75 "new" movies this year about 30 of them are from 09'. The rest were just catch up from 08/07

I watch 2 new movies a day ona slow day at work or maybe 6 a week total but those also includes TV shows. I have about 1000 DVDS under my coffee table right now. I use to try to keep them organized but its way too much work now. I send the old ones to my sisters husband.

60-75. Big fan of Netflix, and 10-15 I see in a theatre. Depending on the new releases. Most recent theatre was Avatar (3D of course! ) and Netflix was I Love You, Beth Cooper.

I watched less "new" movies this year than I did any other year; most of my friends didn't have movie $ like we used too...and I don't really do well watching movies at home - short attention span.

Maybe 25? I counted them up, and in 2009, I caught 15 new movies -- released in 2009 -- in the theatre, then watched another 10 at home on DVD.

Yes indeed. I have very slow days at work but also very busy days. On the slow days i need some way to pass time. I am what you would call an essential state employee.

I watch movie DVDs from the public library as well as the new releases at the movie theatre.

On slow days, it's about 1 movie per day, about 5 movies per week (on DVD), and 1 movie at the theatre on the weekend. I check out a bunch of 5/6 movies from the library and watch some of them more than once before returning. I can also watch a movie DVD over a span of a few days.

And sometimes it's nothing for a few weeks.

So I'd say, on average, about 45 new movies at the theatres and 200 on DVDs, in one calendar year. Not bad for a single guy with lots of time on his hands.
