I wanna tell you all a story bout' a Harper Valley widowed wife
who had a teenage daughter who attended Harper Valley Junior High
well her daughter came home one afternoon and didn't even stop to play
she said , 'Mom , I got a note here from the Harper Valley PTA'
Well the note said , 'Ms. Johnson , you're wearin' your dresses way too high,
it's reported you've been drinkin' and a runnin' 'round with men and goin' wild
and we don't believe you oughta be a bringin' up your little girl this way'
And it was signed by the secretary , Harper Valley PTA.

Default Don't forget a very important band of that era;

Ten Years After
especially their album "A Space in Time"
Their songs also sent a message about the way the world was changing,
and gave all of us a voice on how we felt about it.

"I'd love to change the World" was one of my favorites

It was a great time to have grown up in, spreading Peace & Love
Instead of Guns and Violence

Here's a band from the 70's I enjoy--Badfinger. I think they got their start with Apple Records.

YouTube - Badfinger - Come and get it 1970

YouTube - No Matter What - Badfinger

Of course, I know two of the other songs YouTube has, "Baby Blue" and "Day After Day"...I'm going to listen to them next.
