Help -- does anybody know a couple of early to mid 70s reggae-influenced songs which were on the pop charts with the cowbell or steel drum sound?
There are two I am trying to remember..one had a lyric something about standing on the sidelines..
I Saw The Light by Todd Rundgren...
I saw him a few times in concert.
I use to LOVE that song! (I still do)
MusicFreak, did Todd tour the UK stepping in for Rick Ocasik doing The New Cars? What a version of The Cars classic "Dangerous Type" they did.
They toured with Blondie. And may I say Debbie Harry still looks like the Playboy model she was in the 70s. I guess money keeps the body young. She did lose a little bit of the high notes like all great vocalists though. But I still have that skin tight red dress she wore on my mind.
DAMN that was a great show !!!
