I could pick a lot of Zep tunes (and multiple songs from the following artists) - here's the first song by Zep I ever heard in the year it came out as a 10 year old
Four decades later, and I finally know who recorded this song. As I remember it, this was all over (Philadelphia) college radio in the early 80's (and I seem to remember it being played in bars and clubs that played that kind of music, into the mid-80's at least). Surprised it's somewhat obscure. I tend to lump late 70's music of this sort in with the 80's, but strictly speaking the 70's is its decade.
Do you think you can tell?
Did they get you to trade
Your heroes for ghosts?
Hot ashes for trees?
Hot air for a cool breeze?
Cold comfort for change?
Did you exchange
A walk on part in the war
For a lead role in a cage?
