This song is from "Forever Changes" an obscure classic LP from 1967. Clark and Hilldale are two streets in the Sunset Strip area of LA where Love used to play alot of gigs.
This song captures the indescribable vibe of driving down California 1. Reminds me of the few times our family drove down to Anaheim to Disneyland all the way from San Francisco when I was a kid in the 80's...

Hotel California is one of my all-time favorite songs/ The melody, the way the song has a message behind the lyrics and the story that is painted in my mind...and also has the best ever guitar riff.
