I liked their positive vibe, there were no 4-letter words in their lyrics, none of that artificial anger and gloom so typical of much black music today. To the contrary they tried to spread optimism, backed by that ancient Egyptian philosophy and religion.
And they were really skilled musicians
Bailey's voice was awesome, it still is unusual although not as fascinating anymore from what I have heard on some recent live videos. I assume singing like that for decades means quite some wear on the voice cords.

I totally agree...their songs were all about love and they were uplifting!
In my humble summation...it's impossible to listen to Earth, Wind and Fire without feeling good! Yep...ya just gotta start moving to that music! First the toe tap...then the head bop...followed quickly by the shoulder roll...moving on down to the hips! Yep...just gotta move to dat music!
