Met up with an old friend today and we got on the subject of music and he was telling me about this guy Fem Kuti, he's pretty good I thought I'd share.
YES! Femi Kuti is one of my favorite musicians in the world...he's tremendous. I saw him a few years back and will see him again in Detroit in April! I love the mix of jazz, funk, and traditional African...it's great stuff. Afrobeat is a great genre.
