Hip Hop is over 32 years old now. I love it and I don't believe it is the end of it's shelf life but every generation is usually defined by a new genre that evolves from and rebels against the parent generation. In 80s there was Metal and Hip Hop. 70's Disco, Funk and Punk. 60's Classic Rock and Roll and Soul, 50's Doo Wop and Pop music etc...So what do you think will be the next evolution? Why is it taking so long? Is it already happening but has yet to reach mainstream? Your thoughts..

I'll be very happy the day Auto-Tune ceases to be popular. I cannot stand that voice-violating monster .
I personally like it when used properly. There is only two mainstream artist that use it properly which are T-Pain (i.e. the originator) and Kesha. In the post-hardcore/"scene", I think it used really well.
Though it won't ever go away since there are ton of artists who use it to make their pitch perfect and you never notice it going on since they turn off the distortion effect.
Yes, musical culture needs guys that brag about being the big badass in town, hold fistfuls of dollars, play dice in the street, show off their hot cars (with 16 inch wheels), brag about themselves, porky babes jiggling their butts, and guys that brag about themselves.
