"Get Up" - KoRn (feat. Skrillex)

Combine nu metal with dubstep, and this is what you get. I loved it the first time I heard it, and the response from everybody I've heard has been very positive.

Not for me.

IMO Korn really fell apart after Life is Peachy.

...cool?

I thought KoRn was cool for awhile, like when I was 14-ish. I've tried revisiting them for old time's sake and it's not really for me.

Like ncopus said, after Life Is Peachy, it all just became overprocessed, formulaic stuff about having "xX_iSsUeS_Xx" and parents not understanding you...

Bleh. BOo. Lame. I have to agree with everyone else, Korn isn't the same. I used to like them very much but its totally not the same. Scrillex is on his path to being over exposed in my opinion but, GOOD FOR HIM in all honestly.

Personally, I'm starting to hate how dubstep is becoming mainstream in a way. Not to sound like a pretentious, musical elitist but I am bothered by the exposure dubstep is getting simply because 2 years ago when I put my friends onto it, they didn't think a thing of it and thought it wasn't cool and the "wobble" sound annoyed them. Now that its becoming pretty popular, being mixed with top 40 songs of today, mainstream artist taking noticed, its becoming "acceptable" to them.

Yeah, I noticed that it seems as though the hipsters are rapidly adopting dubstep as their go-to when it comes to music generally composed by nonwhite people to prove that they have a "well-rounded" taste in music. It's annoying and shallow, but at least now I don't have to listen to all my hipster friends/acquaintances talk about how reggaeton is the most amazing and soulful genre of music to emerge in the last quarter century. I f'in hate reggaeton.
