I am loading my I-Pod with the best of albums from the 60's and 70's. Have the Beatles, Who, Stones, Monkees, Beach Boys, Carol King, Carly Simon, Supremes, Eagles, Jim Croce, Bee Gees, Manilow and CCR. What groups do you think are worthy?

I don't know if anyone can really answer that question for you. Put whatever music YOU like on your iPod. We could make recomendations of artists you may not know and could be worthy of checking out. What type of music do you like?

Sounds like you're pretty well covered. I'll add: Allman Brothers, Stevie Wonder, Steely Dan, Zombies, pre-motorcycle crash Dylan, Sly & The Family Stone, Janis Joplin/Big Brother & the Holding Company, Neil Young & Crazy Horse, CS&N/CSN&Y, The Byrds.

From the list you provided, you might also like the Layla album from Derek and the Dominoes. That is one great album.

J.J. Cale's "Troubadour" album has some terrific songs on it.

Didn't forget, just don't like them very much. I wish annoying singers would quit bringing down otherwise great bands.
