I know this has been asked and talked about many times throughout life and for us big music fans; but, simple question-how would your life be without music?

Personally, I can't fathom my life without music. I don't think I would be as motivated, happy and determined to do things without music. Sure, I can enjoy my peace and quiet and listen to the sounds of the Earth (which I LOVE) but music is just something I don't know I can exist without. One of my favorite feelings physically and mentally is sex, eating food, working out and doing other physical activities. Not even those things can compare to music, without music I think I would've have choked myself with my mothers umbilical cord-death before born! That's how much music truly means to me.

I might not play multiple instruments, I might not have the most "musically inclined" ear, have a band, or even make music but DAMMIT I love music and I can't imagine being alive without it!

How would you feel without music?

I'm so into music that I can't listen to it when I have to concentrate. I'm talking detailed things or something that you really have to think about. My mind is on the music and I lose track and attention of whatever else I was trying to multi-task at the same time. All the people I know who are so-so music people don't have a probelm with it. I CAN'T do it. I couldn't have something playing right now and be typing this as we speak. I can drive fine with it, but trying to reload or something that requires 100% attention and alertness, the radio must go. Are the people who can do three or four things at ONCE, while listening, REALLY listening to the music and the song? Probably not, it's drowned out.

Let's say you had to read while listening. Could you do it? I sure couldn't and am not afraid to say it. Basic task...YES, I might be able to make change without making a mistake. Maybe??

I don't know, maybe it is the "kind" of music I am into? This "kind" commands your full attention and you don't want to take your eyes, ears and thoughts off of it for a second. You might miss something!

I can actually read and study listening to music-I just play something that can have me more mellowed out and concentrated. Like classical (yes I do listen and love classical music). It's something that doesn't have me wanting to do push-ups or spin side kick my mother through the wall like crunk music or something. I can do almost anything with music.

The thing about music, is it's such a direct hit, even animals respond to it. I like novels, movies, live theater, a lot of different art forms. But nothing hits me right in the gut, immediately, like music does.

What an ugly world it would be w/o music. You should go wash your mouth out with soap.

That would have something to do with it I suppose. I like exciting tunes and you can't do anything else with them. Yeah, they melt or blow you away everytime.

I posted a few examples for people to try to do something else while any of these are playing. Some aren't fast or hard per say either. We haven't even gotten into Led Zep or AC/DC, ZZ Top or anything yet. Try to do it....you can't can you? LOL
