I saw Ratt back in 1985 or so, and they were a bigger thing then was Bon Jovi! That night Bon Jovi opened for Ratt! I still like the first 2 Ratt albums. "Out of the cellar" was real good in my opinion.

Yeap i saw them with KIX in concert as they are one of the most fun groups to see in concert along with Warrant as they were all non stop action from start to finish.
I just found this video today as i didn't even realise it was on Youtube and it reminds of the movie scenes in ''Rock Star'' with Mark Wahlberg as that was a great movie about the 80's Glam Band Era !!!
It seems like all melodic 80s rock is considered hair metal nowadays.
To me it is just a derogatory word.
Hair metal used to be poppy bands like White Lion,Mr.Big and Extreme.
Now glam and sleaze bands like Poison and Faster Pussycat is considered hair metal.
I also don´t understand why some heavy metal bands are considered hair metal just because they have some melody.
The best rock guitar solos came out of this era from guys like
1.Paul Gilbert
2 George Lynch
3.Reb Beach
4.Warren De Martini
5.Nuno Bettencourt
6.Jake E Lee
7.Michael Angelo Batio
8 Rudolph Shenker
9.Vinnie Vincent
10.Scottie Hill
