I'm talking about people with an above average interest in music, not casual listeners. Do you find that most people who are really into music are also somewhat musical themselves? Can they typically at least carry a tune? Do they have some rhythm? Or are there plenty of super music fans that have zero musical ability?
The reason I'm asking is that every super music lover I know has at least some 'music within them' so to speak. They can clap or move to a beat certainly, most can carry a tune even if they don't have great singing voices, many play an instrument. I was just wondering if my experience is unique and there are actually people out there with no musical ability themselves who are still rabid music fans. I know people who literally can't find the beat in order to clap along with a song, and people who can't match a note if you give them 100 tries. None of these people are very into music.
