Do you have a favorite song or artist that you wish someone would make a movie based on it's lyrics? One that could be used to showcase more of that artists songs of the same period?
For me it would be an early Genesis song, called 'One For The Vine'. I am a bigger fan of their music before "Then There Were Three" album was released than I am of their more commercially successful later albums and songs.
One For The Vine is about a soldier, disillusioned during his leaders march to battle, deserting and going through a warp of some kind to find himself in another dimension or planet, very much unlike the one he came from. The people who witnessed him appear think he is their new messiah, come to lead them in victory against their foes. After a time of reflection (great instrumental section in the song, btw), he decides to lead them. While marching them to battle he sees a deserter go through a similar warp and disappear.
