Thanks, yes clearly traditional deep is slower. What I'm talking about by "future house" sounds like a hybrid combining deep house with progressive house. It's a bit more complex rhythmically and uses a light kick in between beats.
I think both borrow more from deep than progressive: 1) The way the vocals are treated with that echo, distorted effect. I won't say it's exclusive to deep house, but I hear that the most in deep-house tracks. 2) The way the background beat sounds, which has softer downbeats that are somewhat hollowed out (I'm sure there's a musical term for it...the drum pattern?). In the first selection, you can hear it in the intro, throughout the song, and in other parts, at 3:10, for example. In the second song, the only part where I hear some progressive is in the intro. The rest of it is overpowered by deep house and/or standard-house elements. You can hear that type of pattern in the background beat at 0:47 and 1:47 - 2:02.
I mentioned previously that I tend to think of deep house and regular house as the closest in relation to each other, whereas some of the other sub-genres of house branch off in different directions. That was kind of my question in regard to future house, insofar as how it was different. If the only thing making those two tracks different than deep is the pace (not as "loungey"), then I'd more inclined to classify them under, simply, house music.

I had the hardest time logging in and thought maybe HK politics was at it again. Let me quickly ask this possibility of it being Future House, Free-R ( mainly Never Let You Go ( Don Diablo Remix ) ). Here, Future House is popular and I thought to actually put in a lot of Future House since you have an excellent ear. My gawd I'm shaking. Be grateful you guys are "there" and not elsewhere. Would you mind me quickly posting a lot of Future House in case I might never return? lol politics!
[ Future House ] Ummet Ozcan - Lose Control ( Olly James & Linka & Mondello'G Bootleg )
I don't want to get cut-off so will quickly talk about Tropical House.
1 word, Kygo.
Though not the founder of Tropical House ( it's 20 y/o Australian Dj / producer Thomas Jack ) listen to Norway's Kygo tracks to learn. The easiest way to ID Tropical House is to listen for pan flutes, horns, sax, steel drums, wood xylophone, marimbas, live elements like acoustic instrumentation augmented or / in place of synthesizers and compressed mixes with a slower BPM / chill vibe.
now maybe you can assist me? what would you classify this track below ? I'll later read what you think. Really I felt this would be a good exchange since the site I was thinking of is for djays / producers. So to help you in this way I thought would show my appreciation for our first conversing.
