Back when I was a child, my eldest sister loved Paul (if nothing else, because they shared the same birthday), my second sister loved George, and I was a fan of Ringo. As a young lad (9) in 1964, I was attracted by his many rings, and his love for phones. I recall that when he moved into a new flat he had a telephone (line-based, of course) every 6 feet or so. It seemed amazing.
I was further charmed when, a few years later, during an interview, the interviewer expressed shock over Ringo's saying that he loved to go out and get fish and chips.
"But why?", said the interviewer, "You're rich. You could dine in the finest restaurants, eating the best food!"
Ringo simply responded: "Well, I like me fish and chips".
I also liked his portrayal in "A Hard Days Night"*. He seemed the most friendly and down to earth.
I agree that he has kept his youthfulness to an amazing degree. I hope I look so well and fit at 75.
*The story is: the Beatles had spent a day in the studio, deep into the night. At the end, Ringo sighed and said "Well, that was a hard day's night". John was tickled by that, and began to write the famous song.
He looks so good for his age! Aged better than Sir Paul.
