Sad news, great voice. Her along with Bobbie Gentry were always 2 of my favorites from the 60s. I hear a lot of her sound in some great new artists these days. Cool lady, great songs. Really sad she could not get into the Hall of Fame before her passing. RIP

I remember her and that song well, an she was a great talent. She had one problem after another in her life. RIP.

Sadly she had problems with alcohol. She had several instances regarding this issue, several DUI's, surprisingly including one just about a year ago in September. To her credit she got herself down to the Betty Ford Clinic shortly after that happened. Wikipedia has a lot of this info on her.

Soupson1 makes a good point regarding the Country Music Hall Of Fame. I would have thought she would be in.
