I haven't heard this song in decades, but it is really very sophisticated for popular music... very complex, some blues influence, but really more jazz
Yes, a great song by a short lived but great band....I must say out of the talented musicians who have passed the one who made me feel the most sad was when I heard that Chris Wood had died at the the young age of 39...he was a number of years older than I and man he had such a kind but tortured soul....he made sounds and emotions come out of his sax unlike anyone else..
Here's that same song and the video of it and you can hear and see how Chris's sax playing was filled with pure emotions....magical.
