I can’t express how much I love this rendition. I love Leonard Cohen’s version but Buckley owned it. Always moves me to the verge of tearing up. The most soulful and emotionally profound song to listen to when the plane is flying quietly on the Pacific Ocean. Poetic.
It seems strange to my northern relatives, but my parents thought it important growing up Jewish in a small southern city/town to know what others believed. The rabbi says it's OK to go as long as you don't pray and sing. I still go on occasion, sitting up in balcony. I love Mosie Burks and am listening to this:
