I think he died from covid (TMZ is reporting but has yet to be confirmed). Wasn't really much of a fan but FYI. The only song I liked was "Two Out of Three Ain't Bad" but reading a bit more about him on Wikipedia, he seemed like an all around, unpretentious, nice guy. RIP.
Meat Loaf, the larger-than-life singer whose bombastic rock opera "Bat Out of Hell" is one of the best-selling albums of all time, has died at age 74, according to a statement on his verified Facebook page.
"Our hearts are broken to announce that the incomparable Meat Loaf passed away tonight with his wife Deborah by his side," the statement said. "Daughters Pearl and Amanda and close friends have been with him throughout the last 24 hours."
Meat Loaf's agent confirmed his death to CNN. No cause of death was shared.
I was in high school in 1993 when Bat Out of Hell II came out and I was immediately obsessed with "I Would Do Anything for Love." Bought the CD and then Bat Out of Hell and was hooked. He toured in 1994 and some friends and I drove to Kansas City to see him at what was then the Sandstone Amphitheater...first rock show I ever went to and it blew my mind.
I remember him expressing his thanks to the audience multiple times for giving him the career he had and coming out to see him. I'll miss him.

Yeah. Like I said, I wasn't really much of a fan but I would always stop whatever I was doing and just listen whenever that song came on. It would get me all teary eyed. To this day, I don't know why but I think because he was so emotive.
e·mo·tive: arousing or able to arouse intense feeling.
Paradise By The Dashboard Light is a great song.
RIP
