Ok, similar to a situation from before : just the barest details on a song and somebody guessed right in a matter of minutes. Worth another shot with a different song.
We were outside a coffee shop in San Francisco (Simple Pleasures) , a blues/classic rock band was jamming across the street, all happening on one sun filled Saturday last weekend. One of the last songs from this band, everyone has heard many times for sure. Just this time, it caught my attention enough to try and figure out who originally sung/wrote this number. I emailed the store for any info on the band, so I can contact them and no reply.
Some 70s/80s band for sure. Really mellow. Classic rock/blues ......singer would probably sound similar to Eric Clapton. Though the song/singer itself more likely American , maybe.
Very catchy and meant for Summer
Alright, so with all that in mind , some words in song ...
Thanks for the picks above. Sadly, none of the songs matched that one illusive number heard outside the coffee shop from before
If you can imagine a popular decades old Summer type song .........with special emphasis on the word "Everybody".& "Summertime" and/or "Summer Mind" in there too....really catchy and again Classic Rock/Blues type song. Quite popular.
DontH8Me - There was a song on the list "Everybody Loves The Sunshine - Roy Ayers Ubiquity (1976) ".........I thought I was in luck. However, when played it on Youtube, just wasn't the one I was looking for.
Not giving up hope yet. It will come along sooner or later.

You said it was quite popular? This song ain't. I know a ton of music and never heard this one before.

You know what I am beginning to think : that maybe the song was just something the band had put together, their own creation. As the lyrics were just so simple, maybe it is just a song they use for jamming to at the end of a gig. A great little number nonetheless.
As of now, I have searched high and low with no success. In this day and age, it is easy to find song info online with the many resources available there.
What to do next time if hearing a song anywhere which catches my interest is just to record playing on a smartphone and then research from there.
I have been checking my email inbox for any reply from the coffee shop , still no reply as of yet.
