There are some songs that still speak to me of my school years even though they were either before or after my time in high school.
Alice Cooper has two such songs for me, 18 and School’s Out. Radiohead’s Creep came out after my school years but it so perfectly captured that awkward teen feeling so many felt in those school years. There are many songs that remind us of our high school years but what songs really speak to the young person you were and the things you were going through or felt in school?
A top ten list from my high school years. Yep, I'm getting old all right!
Itchycoo Park-Small Faces
Psychotic Reaction-Count Five
Pushing Too Hard-Seeds
Different Drum-Linda Ronstadt/Stone Poneys
To Sir With Love-Lulu
Dead End Street-Kinks
Lady Madonna-Beatles
The Happening-Diana Ross/Supremes
Bonnie And Clyde-Georgy Fame
Jennifer Eccles-Hollies
1977 Andy Gibb. Grade school yet. How deep is your love? They played this song on the radio all the way until now. That is a long time after. If you know how that song went, great. It's a classic song for any radio lovers out there.

No disrespect, but "How Deep Is Your Love" is a Bee Gees song. Andy Gibb has some nice hits as well, but yeah it was hard to tell Barry from Andy back then.
Slow Ride - Foghat
Sweet Emotion - Aerosmith
Young Americans - David Bowie
Fooled Around and Fell in Love - Elvin Bishop
It's a Long Way to the Top - AC/DC
Stranglehold - Ted Nugent
666 - Aphrodites Child
Anything from Yellow Brick Rd. Elton John
Everyone's posting the hits from that time, and many of those take me back (I'm 51), but the one that I always remember is Up With People.
We sang it in a grade school recital. It still pops into my head once in a while.
This song was sung in the school hall way between classes my senior year. I can still hear, "hey,,,,hey, " echoing in hallway. If someone sang, "hey" somebody else down the hall would answer, "hey."
I was in high school during the ska craze, so mostly the following:
No Doubt-Spiderwebs
The Might Mighty Bosstones-The Impression that I get
Reel Big Fish-Sellout
Sublime-Santeria
The Suiicide Machines-SOS
Goldfinger-Here in your bedroom
