There are some songs that still speak to me of my school years even though they were either before or after my time in high school.
Alice Cooper has two such songs for me, 18 and School’s Out. Radiohead’s Creep came out after my school years but it so perfectly captured that awkward teen feeling so many felt in those school years. There are many songs that remind us of our high school years but what songs really speak to the young person you were and the things you were going through or felt in school?

1977 Andy Gibb. Grade school yet. How deep is your love? They played this song on the radio all the way until now. That is a long time after. If you know how that song went, great. It's a classic song for any radio lovers out there.

From 11 to 12 grade:

No Doubt-Don’t speak
Prodigy-Firestarter
Sugar Ray-Someday
Smash Mouth-All star
311-Down
Sublime-Santeria
The Bosstones-Impression that I get

Not that I was a fan of all those bands, but they were constantly being played on the radio.

No disrespect, but "How Deep Is Your Love" is a Bee Gees song. Andy Gibb has some nice hits as well, but yeah it was hard to tell Barry from Andy back then.

Everyone's posting the hits from that time, and many of those take me back (I'm 51), but the one that I always remember is
Up With People.
We sang it in a grade school recital. It still pops into my head once in a while.

This song was sung in the school hall way between classes my senior year. I can still hear, "hey,,,,hey, " echoing in hallway. If someone sang, "hey" somebody else down the hall would answer, "hey."
