Sadly unless the news outlets give the bad news that artists have passed away, we hear about them years later. It happened for me on Gene Pitney, Johnny Maestro and others.

That video is for Time Won't Let Me, not Precious and Few.
I knew both those songs well and liked them. In fact, I still have my pristine 45 of Precious and Few. But I never knew who the lead singers were - only the group names. So never heard of Sonny Geraci. And would have never guessed both those songs were the same lead.
Precious and Few is one of the greatest songs. Well done and recorded, produced. Always loved that song from day one.
And loved by millions more. 12 weeks in the top 40, peaking at #3.
It was a must have for me and, as I said, I still have my perfect 45 - untouched or played for at least 35 years. I wonder if it's worth anything. Note: I wonder the same thing about lots of my 45s - nothing to do with the artist's living or dead status.
I didn't learn of his passing until last week. I never saw the death notice online or otherwise.
I almost always learn something when you post about music, Howard. Thank you.
