I like Nickelback - always have. I know that I was supposed to hate them, but I didn't. My 22-year-old daughter has great memories of listening to Nickelback blasting on the way to wherever I was taking her back in the day. After a couple of badly ended marriages, I met a girl that was interesting and had potential but she refused to go out with me if I listened to Nickelback. I cranked up Photograph and sent her on her way.

It seems that now they are no longer as hated as they once were. Is it because they are better than once accepted or because modern music sucks so badly that Nickelback appears as literal Rockstars today?

I love Nickelback, never understood the hate against them.

Rockstar’s my jam. Such a fun song.

because chad had no vocal range and ryan only knew a few licks. but some of the songs rocked. but they quickly went to what ACDC took 40 years to do - in which every song is the same retelling.

Usually people who like or attend Nickelback concerts also dig KISS, 3 Doors Down, Toby Keith. Lynyrd Skynyrd and Ted Nugent.

I will admit, I am in the group of haters of Nickelback. I just absolutely cannot stand his voice, but that's why they make a lot of different music, something for all to enjoy! Amusing anecdote, there is a heavy metal bar in the Denver area called the Brutal Poodle, and it has a digital jukebox that allows people to choose songs. They have a lovely sign on it that all music is welcome, unless it's Nickleback, in which case they reserve the right to remove whoever requested it from the premises. I always found that to be funny.
