Some great rock organ solos in several songs by Boston and Kansas.

So many....

I'm just gonna start with Billy Joel and Beatles as they have a bunch just between them.

A few others...

Don't stop Believing - Journey
Bohemian Rhapsody - Queen
November Rain - GnR
Load out/Stay - Jackson Brown
Your song - Elton John (probably can put him up there with Joel and Beatles).
LA Woman - Doors
Light my fire - Doors
Come Sail Away - Styx
Clocks - Coldplay
Right Here, Right Now - Van Halen
Cold as ice - Foreigner
The way it is - Bruce Hornsby
Subdivisions - Rush
Jump - Van Halen (does this count?)

I think the key here is that you know these songs after just a few notes on the piano/keyboard.

This guy will give you an organ.
And unlike other organ songs this one reached #1
Dave first heard it played on a piano and did not like the sound and the rest is instrumental history.

Absolutely everything Billy Powell contributed on both piano and organ to the songs of Lynyrd Skynyrd.

Sir John Lord definitely had one of the definitive B3 rock sounds. Not debating his greatness, but I'd say he was more of a guy who knew how to make the right sound than the right riff, if that makes sense.

The only one I can immediately think of who was in his league, if not way better (but under-acknowledged) was Brent Mydland from the Grateful Dead (1979-1990). Laugh as I'm sure many will, but the guy was a MASTER at getting the best sound out of his b3. I saw him live many (30+) times, he could make the walls of the arena quake. Most of his best stuff is not on video, but here's one just for reference:

Even if you hate the music, just listen to his fillers, textures and interplay with Jerry Garcia, as well as his ability to build a note to a climax...

One the second one, watch the interplay between He and Jerry from around 2:20, and especially from 3:00 to just after 4:00, Magic!

HonkyTonk master, absolutely agree (at least with the Piano. No slouch on the organ, but great on the piano.).

If you like his playing, have you ever seen Willie Nelson's Sister play. Sorry, I can't recall her name, she's in his band and I saw them a couple years ago. I was like "who is that piano player" and it was her. GREAT!
