I was thinking it might be the spacier type of jazz. If so I should've looked for Sonny Sharrock or Sun Ra. (Sharrock did the theme to Space Ghost: Coast to Coast)

And Indeed, the album cut before it Dead End (4 minutes) clearly belongs with WIS. They are a "suite" if you will, one leads into the other. I recommend the whole album
