I like his stuff, the way he has merged various genres into one, e.g. Jazz, Big Band, Easy Listening and even Soul and Pop. Somewhat similar is Claus Ogerman, who worked with Oscar Peterson, I used to have the CD Motions and Emotions and loved it:
