I really feel the title is borderline POLITICAL.

So has the ROCK AND ROLL influenced today's music as well. If the OP is trying to boost the BLACK music, this is wrong in my book. All music has been influenced by another. I still fail to see why the special thread with BLACK on title.

I think I know what the OP means but it wasn't clear at all from the previous title - if this is the thread that used to have "infect" in the title. I saw that word and skipped the thread before because I thought it was a bashing thread.

As for the OP - one classic example is how Elvis Presley was perceived originally. At first it was so ground breaking and now it's so mainstream that many people are unaware of the influences on rock and roll. It's pretty neat to see something new, like your clip there, that shows there is still crossover that isn't so mainstream and blended away.
