SOMEWHAT???? THIS "IS" R&B!!!! THIS IS OLD SCHOOL!!
THIS IS BETTER THAN ANYTHING AMERICAN ARTIST ARE PUTTING OUT TODAY.
WHEN WAS THIS PRODUCED???
One of the few things Wikipedia is good for is finding musicians I may not have known on my own. I went to their category on "South Korean rhythm and blues musical groups" then I searched YouTube for examples of those groups work. After that it's just copying the videos that struck me to this thread.
Sadly "Big Mama", which I think is the one I liked, does not seem to be very available in the US. Or at least I found almost nothing at Amazon.
As for the use of the word "somewhat" I tend to be hesitant on pronouncing things solidly for fear I'll look dumb. So when I say "somewhat" that's almost shorthand for "I think this fits, but you may not as I don't know you."
Anyway here is a Japanese song I actually have on CD that's R&B influenced but fairly Japanese in its way. (Listening to it again it's not as R&B as I thought, I may have mixed it up with another song of their's. Still it's kind of fun)

No problem! I was just amazed at their sound! I swear you'd think Babyface produced that cut! Nice find!!
