Anyone familiar with an old soul group called the Skull Snaps? They have one of the most sampled beats in rap music from their song It's A New Day. Here are some familiar songs that used this famous beat.

I'll check those out. Anyway I was trying to introduce some people to a band that many people probably have never heard of but their music has been heavly influential on rap especially in the 90's. Kinda interesting how an obscure group can be so sampled.

Cool. If it wasn't for some samples in hip hop music, I wouldn't know that certain artists/bands even existed.

Had you ever heard of the Skull Snaps? I just heard of them about 2 years ago. That beat has an interesting story as far as sampling goes.
