In two weeks I will be spending the week in Myrtle Beach. Curious if anyone knows of any events coming up that are worth taking a look at! I've been to Myrtle before and think I checked out most of the main attractions (Broadway on the Beach, Brookgreen Gardens, Music amusement park [if that's still there], Midevil Times, and Dolly Parton show). That's what I covered when I was there two years ago. I know I didn't cover all Myrtle has to offer. Anything other suggestions would be great! Thanks

Make sure to check out the new boardwalk & the new ferris wheel. Have you been to Rioz? It is an all you can eat Brazilian steakhouse with great salad bar, too. Take a trip over to Market Commons, as well. Mostly shopping & restaurants but it is pretty nice.

I checked Visit Myrtle Beach events calender and here are few things I found:

Music in the Streets at Market Common

Cool Summer Evenings at Brookgreen Gardens

Summerfest at Barefoot Landing

If you golf, there are plenty of courses to choose from and rates (http://grandstrandclubhouse.com/2011/07/05/376/#more-376 - broken link) are really cheap right now.

Also, you mentioned you saw the Dolly Parton show. That has recently changed to Pirates Voyage so you may want to check that out again.

Have a great time!

The boardwalk runs from 1st Ave North to about 14 Ave N I think. The Sky Wheel is on Ocean Blvd & 11 Ave North & is next to the new Landshark Bar & restaurant. Haven't been there yet, but supposed to be decent.

Went to Landshark at the end of June and was happy with it. Limited menu, burgers, sandwiches, wraps, food like that, but food was good. Great location for it with a great ocean view !!! Sky Wheel was too crowded at the time to ride but will try again in Sept when we go back down

Did Pirates Voyage totally replace the Dolly Parton show? We especially enjoyed the Christmas show at the Dolly Parton theatre!
