Google has not been my friend on this. Tomorrow is my birthday. I want to stuff myself with seafood, but my whole family hates it. i need a good seafood buffet that has non seafood items to satisfy everyone. does it exist? every time i think i found one, reviews say it is horrible.
This may not be much help, as I haven't been down there in a couple years. On 17 there is a place called Captain's something. There are several like that, but this one has diving bells in front of it. There's a big ship inside in a display case, maybe the Titanic? 've been several tiems and tokk other people, and everyone liked it. Endless variety, including good crab legs.
Unfortunately I can't tell you more than that. It's one of those "I can drive to it, but can't tell you where it is" situations.

I believe you are thinking of Captain George's on 17, near Broadway at the Beach. Never ate there myself but have heard many that like it. We were just in North Myrtle a few weeks back and never found a good seafood buffet up that way, however, if you don't mind a little drive, I'd recommend Crabby Mikes, think it's down in Surfside. We've eaten there many times and always good stuff.
Cap't George is closed. There is Seafare which was good in Surfside but just ok now in North Myrtle Beach. They have a good selection for everyone and might do the trick. Seafare Restaurant Good luck and hope you have a happy birthday!
The SC natives that I work with say that The Original Benjamin's is the best in the NMB area. I have not eaten there so can't vouch for it. (There is another Benjamin's...just make sure you go to The Original Benjamin's). If you want to travel to Surfside (easy drive on Rt 31), Crabby Mike's is great. It has a seafood as well as non-seafood items for those in your group who don't want seafood. I can vouch for Crabby Mike's as I have eaten there...very good for a buffet.
By the way, the Seafare Restaurant is very good as well but it is not a buffet.

WAIT!!! WAAAIIII! Does the Benjamin's have the diving bells outside? I may be thinking of that.
