Just bought a little house in the Cherry Grove section, and looking for a good honest contractor to give us some advice on some roofing issues. The home has no attic space. The ceilings are exposed wood beams with 2x6 tongue and groove pine boards. I assume the decking is rolled roofing, tar and pea gravel. It's an A roof with a small amount of pitch. I hope to add insulation above the planking with a new roof over that. If anyone can pass along someone who has experience in this kind of roof system I would appreciate it greatly....Thanks.
