Once you have your SC drivers license almost all golf courses in the area have economical rates for locals. Rates may vary by season but the summer will have some of the lowest rates around. Once of the best deals is to join the Legends Golf Group for $10 a year and get free breakfast, lunch and 2 beers or sodas along with your green fees. Once you play so many rounds you earn free rounds and merchandise credits. There are 5 area courses to play. As a newbie I suggest you call some courses and ask about specials they may offer for new players. It will be worth the money to take a series of lessons. There are a number of other cards available that will give you significant discounts at many courses including the Prime Time card, Signature card, Glens Group card etc.
