We are from Northern Virginia and planning to locate to Murrells Inlet - Surfside Beach area. We like Prince Creek, TPC, Indigo Creek areas as well as Surfside Beach. What are the advantages/disadvantages to living in G-town County vs Horry County?

Focus is on taxes and public services such as rec centers, libraries....Horry County has a massive commercial tax base so tax projection on residential should be more secure.

What part of NOVA? We moved from there four years ago to North Charleston but we have our house on the market and going to move to a subdivision outside of Conway. We want a one story home vs the two story we have now. And moving to Conway brings us a little closer to NOVA.

We are in Prince William County just north of Quantico. We were looking around Carolina Forest but there is talk of incorporation - since it's all residential we're concerned about taxes without any commercial base and I think they'd have to pay city taxes as well. Looking to retire.

We moved from Southlake in Montclair. We are also looking at the Carolina Forest area too.
I retired from the AF and the VA.

Taxes here are way cheaper than VA. I am only paying $1,200 a year but will go down almost half when I reach my 65th birthday which is next year.

Gas is only $1.94 but I actually paid $1.69 at BJs yesterday. It is usually $1.79. In MB there is a Costco and Sam's but no BJs.

Drop me a line at mikeb22026@gmail.com 22026 does that sound familiar? Easy nic way back then.
