Hi,

We moved to MB a month ago to a rental, and have settlement on our house in Socastee in December. Which internet/cable company is the better one here? Also, what are your water rates like? And if its city water, that would just be the City of MB or are there different providers? Trying to think of other services that would be needed, but drawing a blank right now

Thanks in advance!!

You will probably have a couple of choices for wi-fi and cable in the community where your house is located. You should check with the neighbors in the development on who provides services. I am a big fan of HTC for wi-fi and cable especially since their customer service is provided locally. However, they are a bit higher than some of their competition and their packages and equipment are sometimes not as robust. You just need to compared and decide which is better for you.

Water bill for the 2 of us runs less than $30/month if we are not using the irrigation system. In months where we use it, the bill depends on how often we water the lawn.

The only other service you might need is trash. If you are in an HOA community, the dues may include trash service. If not, Waste Management is the primary carrier around here but a company called BNL services some communities in the area.
