Sat through 2 red lights (not rush hour) because the concept of not going through the intersection when you can SEE the cars are stopped on thE other side is too hard to understand. I'm ready for them to go home already (pine ridge and airport).

I avoid that intersection like the plague at best of times.

Pine Ridge, between 41 and 75, and all of Airport Rd. south of Livingston has a way of sucking what little intellect, common sense and courtesy that most of the morons "driving" on them had out of their brains.

We've been living here full time since August and already know where to avoid. No reason to go down there when online shopping is easier.

Just a seasonal knucklehead here, but even at 66 yo, I can still haul fanny when I have to...
Not making excuses for crummy drivers, but the traffic does multiply here 'by the day' in just the 2 1/2 weeks we have been back.

The stoplights don't help imo: 2 1/2 to 4 min 'events' and very few intersections allow for left turn except on the short green arrow. Have driven in every major metro area in the US, and Collier County and the I-75 corridor from Naples to Tampa, are surely 'special'. ;(

Oh, it goes beyond driving. Go in Publix and try to get around them in the aisles. EXCUSE ME! Nothing, they cannot hear you and won't move. They use their shopping carts as WALKERS.

I go to Walmart instead. It seems the old Snowbirds don't go there. I would rather deal with little kids running up and down the aisles at Walmart. I am 65 so don't talk to me about "when you get old".

Yup. "special" is putting it mildly. Driving in Orlando is easier.

Yes we do
I have to admit, I've not encountered an intersection like the op is showing.
But then, I do my best to avoid 'prime time' driving like the plague and try to stay in our less busy area south of Rattlesnake as much as possible.
My main irritation is 'Green means GO or keep going, not STOP!'

I wish I could avoid that intersection! I love right at it so I have to at some point to through it during the day. I'm always afraid my airbag is going to go off from the repeated head pounding on the steering wheel.

LOL.... My wife works near the intersection of Pine Ridge and 41. I had to drive over there last week to bring her something, and it was like playing the old Pole Position video game.
