My family is moving to Naples mid to end Summer this year. We have two children who are 7 and 8 years old. I will be opening a business in North Naples and would like to live within 15 minutes from that location. It's been very difficult for me to gauge whether or not the neighborhoods are "kid friendly". I'm trying to find out where the families are so we can get plugged in. My sister's family is also moving with kids in pre-school, elementary, and high school. I'm a Realtor here in Nashville so I know the Realtors aren't allowed to tell me where the kids are so I'm reaching out to the real people :-) Help!

We have not set a location for the business yet. We will be beginning our lease in August but it will be in North Naples. Budget is $300,000 - $370,000. I'm not opposed to Bonita Springs but I get the feeling b/c of schools, there aren't great family neighborhoods. My in-laws have a vacation home in Bonita Bay so I'm familiar with that area and how "retirement friendly" it is. I've heard good things about Estero but that's getting a little far unless it's on the south side of Estero, by Bonita. Any advice would be appreciated!

Could you be more specific about the area of North Naples--for instance, Immokalee Rd area, Vanderbilt Rd area or Pine Ridge Rd area? North Naples spans a very large area.

Yes, I know it is a large area but we are fine living anywhere in that area. The school district in North Naples is what we're going for. Most seem to be rated in the 9's and 10's, which is what we're used to here in Nashville. Anywhere within North Naples will be fine. We do not like Naples Park, however and really prefer a gated community, if that helps at all. It seems to me that most neighborhoods I have looked at don't "feel" like there are many families there at all. I thought Saturnia Lakes looked like a good one but the photos from some of the neighborhood events are telling me otherwise.

Thanks again!!

Try Golden Gate Estates and I know Riverstone has a lot of kids but that community is pushing your budget so it might not be option for you.

There is a new development being built that is totally geared towards families by WCI called Raffia Preserve. Great school system and it IS totally being marketed to families. If you get in early, you can get a great deal. Saturnia Lakes definitely has lots of kids. Riverstone as well, but those homes are already going for the 600's without upgrades.

Thank you! This is all helpful. I'll look into those neighborhoods. I have found some listings in Saturnia Lakes in our price range. Are any of you familiar with Victoria Park? I've heard that's a great family neighborhood, too.
