Hit Search This Forum Tab, upper right hand corner. Use the drop down box and type in homeowner's insurance.
There are several threads, many recent, on rec'ds.

Pick off a half dozen names, hit them with an email request and see what you get.

If you have a mort, then you don't have much wiggle room to do ala carte coverage...if no mort, you can shop hard and compare all the options. Most FL ins agents deal with the usual dozen underwriters, and all have some items stuffed into any initial quote, eg ID theft, over coverage on 'contents', 'Cane coverage of differing levels, etc. Some of those items may be things you don't want/need and the coverage limits may be well above or below what your comfort zone is...

Fwiw, I had this agent, based in Marco but can write anywhere in the state, and his agency was reasonable and provided me to take the 'stuff' I wanted and not the extra packs of stuff I did not. I found him post Wilma when our orig HI coverage tossed us, just because they could. We winter'd in Naples for 9 seasons... https://agents.allstate.com/troy-bak...island-fl.html

The pricing out there in HI land ranges from reasonable, (shopping hard and carefully reading the coverage and limits) to breathtakingly pricey, imo.
