Naples has a population of 251,000? Whoever wrote this couldn't find the correct information, so he's using the U.S. Census figure for all of Collier County including Marco Island, Immokalee, Everglades City, and Ave Maria. (and don't forget the 400 people who live in Chokoloskee.)

Edit: and the 2000 census figure at that!

"Smaller metro areas such as Naples, which has a population of 251,377, are at a disadvantage."

Population of Naples is approximately 21,000.

Yeah. Apparently, they put Salinas, California on the list and it is a dump, but they used a picture from somewhere else. I love these lists!

Last year Fort Myers was on the list of the top 10 places to find a good job. So that tells you something about these "Best of" lists.

Bellalunatic, don't take these posts personally. I still appreciate the link.

Because these lists are made up by dingalings that are trying to sell real estate and get people to think this is the great area it really isn't.
