I've been looking at some weather websites and it seems like its only in the 80's for 3-4 months of the year on average in the Nashville area (June, July, August, and Sept). Is this true? Will we find it mostly nice out besides those 3-4 months?

It starts sometimes in April, and we'll still have some hot days in October.

Hot like, 80s-100. The humidity really starts kicking in towards the middle of May. The "dog days" usually last throughout July-Aug, with highs "usually" in the low 90s, with humidity about the same. At night, when it is very humid, it is "usually" in the upper 70s to low 80s.

Should we expect it to only be hot in May, June, July, August, and Sept? How often is it hot in April/Oct?

I'd say the average for what I would consider hot, would be 1.5 weeks for each month. I'd consider hot to be 80 or so.

A breakdown of Nashville weather:

September to mid-November = glorious

Late November to April = rain and overcast

May to Mid-June = glorious

Late June to August = hell

It is not unheard of for the temps to be in the 80s in April or October...but for the most part we're in the 60-70s range during those months with occasional snaps of warmer or colder weather.

Just keep in mind that we do get the full 4 seasons here. January and February are our coldest months and it is possible for the temps to stay under 25 degrees or so for days or even weeks at a time. The winters are milder here than they are up north, but if you're used to south Florida...it could take some getting used to.
