The weather is very hot and humid from May through September. 90+ June through early September.

Winters are mostly 30s to 40s and rainy, with periods of frigid cold and MAYBE one decent snow per season.

Frigid cold periods ?

I don't think the temperature has ever dropped to less than zero since I've lived here.

Yeah, sorry Professor. I said frigid cold "periods," meaning a couple of days. geez

Didn't you get the Nashville-to-English dictionary?

I am interested in this sort of information as well. I hope to be in Nashville in 4 to 5 months.

Don Corleone compiled a pretty exhaustive list here:

Its been near zero, and well below 20 several times just last winter. So I personally think that is classified as "Frigid" when the day time temps don't get out of the 20's for days and lows in the lower teens and single digits, which that does happen here. He said periods of frigid temps.

As far as the question about best Barbeque, I'm not a big barbeque person but when I do have a taste for it I like Fat Boys on Murfreesboro Rd. in Antioch as well as Ron's Soul Food and Barbeque in Antioch on Mt. View. Rd. I think Nashville is better know for fish sandwiches and "Hot Chicken", rather than barbeque, thats if you really want a taste of what is really good, and native to Nashville.

Wmsn, good thread there, thanks for heads up. I think if there were a few threads with information like that and others that generally pertain to a vast array of the questions asked here, it would make things much easier to find and navigate. Cut down on the 'fat' of the forums.
