Hello! I am looking at traveling to Nashville with a small group of guys this coming Memorial Day weekend, and was hoping to get some good ideas of places that a group of guys who love to have a rip-roarin' good time could go.
I've read all about the bars downtown, the live music venues, and the various restaurants, but I'd like to also hear a little bit more about the wilder side of Nashville nightlife, if possible.
In addition, can anyone speak to what Percy Priest Lake has to offer? We were thinking about renting a large pontoon for a day and heading out there. Is there a "party cove" or anything like that in the area?
Thanks!

I'm definitely no expert when it comes to nightlife...let alone wild nightlife...but we have that too, I suppose. Downtown obviously is the main attraction with Broadway and 2nd Avenue being the main entertainment districts. The "wildest" spot I can think of down there is probably Coyote Ugly. There are other nightlife spots around town, but most are more "local" and not rowdy.

As far as more adult entertainment goes, there are several "gentlemen's clubs" around town but I don't have any knowledge of which ones are good and which ones you should avoid. I think the closest ones to downtown are probably Deja Vu on Demonbreun...and there's one on 8th Avenue...Christy's maybe? I think that's the one Kid Rock got in trouble at a few years ago when he was in town.

There is...I googled Percy Priest party cove and got this list of results. Percy Priest is a pretty big lake and I have no idea where it is...but I know it has a reputation of being a party lake. Likewise, I believe law enforcement is well aware of it and check for boating under the influence. So use good judgement.

Okay, rubbing my bottle and coming up with genies from my past. All I'll say is, yes, there are party coves. Would that be with clothes or without? Gay or straight? Redneck or more conventional? Looks like your best bet is when you rent the craft, look around the place for someone or someones who appear to have your personal interests in common and just ask them. If they look at you goofy, go ask someone else. You'll get there. Nashville Shores is probably not what you're looking for unless you want some frozen yogurt and a Seven-Up. I think I know from whence you ask.

Also, downtown. There nightlife and then there's NIGHTlife. Google "After Hours" and go from there. The Nashville Scene might have more information.

So, get out there. Search it out. I'll be asleep. It's all yours. And please remember, bad things happen after midnight, use every bit of common sense you can muster. But, by all means, knock it out.

Thank you everyone for the great responses so far! You all gave some great resources and suggestions.
And IngleDave, I'm almost certain you know from whence I ask.
Thanks again, everyone!

Percy Priest is big lake, with ALOT of people partying there every year, just be sure your are safe because every single year on the news we hear about people who drown there because they were drunk and fell off the boat, then accidentally drown or go missing, I mean we hear about it at least once every single year!

other than that, it's a great place to party and see alot of bikinis!
