We will be relocating to Franklin this summer and have found Westhaven to be a good fit for our family. Next year each one of our 5 kiddos will be at a different school so we will have one in preschool all the way up to college. I was just curious how people are feeling about Pearre Creek elementary and Hillsboro middle? They are both in WCS so if it is anything like here in AZ all schools within the same district have the same curriculum. While each school has a different personality so to speak, most of the other stuff is the same. We did find it amusing that the middle school has a booster club for their athletic programs. How about preschools close to Westhaven? I'm not really interested in an "academic" preschool, just a fun place for our little one to get used to school. Our high schooler will attend Father Ryan so if anyone has any advice or suggestions about their curriculum (or other aspects of the school) I'd love to hear it.

Thanks for your help, we are looking forward to our move! Even our kiddos are excited about which makes this relocation so much easier.

Both Pearre Creek and Hillsboro have very active PTOs which is good. The new principal at Hillsboro has been getting rave reviews and the kids seem happy and proud of their school. The booster club came about because the quality of the extracurricular sports at Hillsboro was not as good as other county middle schools. The PTO/Boosters have put a lot of money into it and it show. Kids who never played sports now want to play football/basketball/track etc. They have nice new uniforms.

As for pre-schools you'll have a lot of options. The Academy of Westhaven is opening in January. I don't know if they are just a traditional daycare or if they'll have a part-time preschool curriculum. There is another daycare near westhaven called PB&J that does have a part-time preschool program that is very popular. There are also lots of mothers day out preschool programs (Berry's Chapel, Little School at 4th Ave. Church of Christ, 1st Presbyterian, etc. They tend to do enrollment in the winter for the following year.

I only know a couple people associated with Father Ryan but they love it there. Warm community and strong academics.
