As the thread title indicates, I'm hoping to make the acquaintance of some talented and trustworthy architects, contractors, interior designers or landscape architects.

Some of this would potentially be for immediate jobs, but more would involve looking ahead to the next house. If we buy a fixer-upper, I'd like to be able to do a walk through with an architect, contractor or interior designer who could give some idea of costs and time to bring the place up to snuff.

Similarly, I'd like to be able to do a walk through with a landscape architect who could say what it would cost to rip out the lawns post people in Nashville seem to have and replace with landscaped beds and hardscapes.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

I always recommend Dan at Transformations. He and his partner Brian do really good work and everything is so clean at the end of the day, no matter what's being done. I know a lot of people who have used them and we all refer them to our friends, which I think says a lot.

Default Howard Company Restorations

Hey!

I'd recommend Howard Company Restorations.

Here's his website Home - Howard Company Restoration and Roofing

He does really solid work and is very honest about pricing and what he is doing on your job. He and his crew are considerate and clean. He'll also get back to you very quickly and give you a free estimate.

I'm a little late posting a reply to this - but we just purchased a house that has been complete restored/refurbished, and I've never met a more helpful, kind person than the architect who over-saw the project. We're very pleased with his work too --

For those who have used an architect or interior designer for additions or remodels, what is the ballpark cost to do something like that. We're considering an addition to our house sometime down the line. I would love to have it professionally designed, but having never used an architect before I honestly have no idea what it costs.

For example, if we added on 750 sq feet of space, how much would the design roughly cost? Or, what would the cost of an interior designer who redesigned a kitchen be, not counting construction costs?

PERKINSCONSTRUCTION.PRO !!!! They are awesome!!!! Friendly, hardworking, and are a very knowledgable design team! They have an in-house Interior Designer that is really awesome and a General Contractor that truly cares about his projects and their clients! They love to work with people that are flipping houses, custom homes, remodels, resturants, and they even do pools!!!! Two Thumbs Up
