Hello everyone...

I was born and have been raised in Miami, in my early 30's. Professional woman. I am looking to relocate up to Nashville...

Any sugestions?

Where would be the hot spots to move to?

Safe neighborhoods?

How is the nightlife there?

Please provide any advice you may have...

THANKS

Noticed you are also thinking about Virginia and Maryland. What is drawing you now to Nashville? (if you use the search option - upper right with all threads closed - you can search "safe neighborhoods" and come up with tons of posts, probably the same with "nightlife"). If you are thinking about buying or renting, knowing your budget would help immensely.

You'll probably have to (re)learn English, but there are many places around the West End and Gulch, and close-in neighborhoods that are popular with professional single women. If you're looking for the condo lifestyle, I'd suggest Green Hills.

All the above. You need to know where you'll work. You need to decide the lifestyle you want. If you've been hanging in Glamourous Miami nightclubs and bars you'll be disappointed in the night life compared to Miami, there is no comparison, this is basically all bars dressed as various levels of restaurant. You must book a trip preferably arriving midweek to get a real idea of what it's like. Stay Downtown at one of the nice hotels and hang around the Gulch, thats the only Miami we have here. Compared to Miami this is so small and so vastly different culturally.
