Fresh Market and Puffy Muffin are across the street from Harris Teeter, not Kroger.

Maryland Farms is a very busy office park. You might want to consider staying on the other side of I-65 at the Holiday Inn Express. Not much in Maryland Farms except chain restaurants, banks and traffic.

Yes, DIRECTLY across the street from Harris Teeter. But on the other side of the street than Kroger is located.

You got me again! Thank goodness I have Artemis to correct me!

I found the Maryland Farms area to be a very convenient place to stay. In MY humble opinion, the Holiday Inn Express is right near the highway, behind Target, therefore noisy, and you have to deal with the horrible Old Hickory/Frankln Road intersection that's a mess unless you know what you are doing. And dangerous even if you do. Maryland Farms may be boring, but it's quiet.

Your hotel is located in an area called Maryland Farms. There's lots of restaurants, fast food, and a convenient Publix. If you go south a little ways on Franklin Road, there is a Kroger shopping plaza with lots of casual dining. Bricks, Five Guys Burgers and Fries, McAlisters, sushi, mexican . . . . across the street is a Fresh Market which has take out salads and sandwiches, and a local place called Puffy Muffin.

Bellevue is on that side of 65 so you can check that out. Take Old Hickory west, a little jog on Hwy 100 and left on Bellevue Rd. If you go North on Franklin Road you'll eventually arrive in downtown Nashville, if you prefer not to take the highway or just want different scenery. Hope you have a good visit!
To the OP, I don't know if they have Five Guys in Michigan, but if you're not familiar with it, that's something I'd suggest trying.

If you are looking suburban, Murfreesboro is a nice sized town of 100,000. 30 minutes to the airport. Franklin is not doable on your budget.

We are also looking to do some golfing this weekend while were in the area. Anyone have any suggestions on a very nice course in Nashville or within a hour drive? I'm an avid golfer so I would like something nice that has some great scenery and price does not matter. Thanks!
