We are new to Franklin and TN. We are commuting daily to Hillsboro Rd in Green Hills right near the 440 exit. We have been taking Hillsboro all the way and the traffic has been awful as expected in the morning especially. Surely there is a cut-through? Anyone know if it is shorter to cut over somehow once I get up to Old Hickory Blvd? or Sneed Rd?

Thank you!!

Take OHB over to Granny White Pike & go North up to Woodmont, then over to Hillsboro. Might be better ...?

Sneed Road goes west. I understand where you are going but what is your starting point? Hillsboro always backs up around the mall unless you can manage to get a flexible starting time. I was going to suggest Granny White as well . . . I took my sister to St. Thomas hospital a few weeks ago on Hillsboro. At 5:30 AM it's a beautiful drive!

PS. When I went to visit my sister, I turned left on OH and right on Chickerling, Belle Meade Blvd to Harding for a little while. You could then turn right in Woodmont? Convoluted but might work. Belle Meade BLvd wasn't crowded but you can't go very fast on it.

Starting at Fieldstone Pkwy, to Hillsboro, turn left on OHB to Granny White to Woodmont?

Depending on your starting point, you could also try Franklin. Once you get past the Holly Gap area you have 4 lanes to use instead of the 2 on Hillsboro or Granny White.

I-65 gets tricky if you can use the Armory Drive exit near 100 Oaks or I-440.

Granny White has two school zones in Metro at JT Moore and Lipscomb Academy, which could cause significant delays..

What time of day are you driving?

Granny White parallels Hillsboro to the right (east). Chickerling & Belle Meade Blvd semi parallel Hillsboro on the left (west) and is much more convoluted but I'm not sure about traffic on Granny White. I'd try Granny White first. Looks like you might be able to turn right on Murray Lane before you get to OHB and catch Granny White there?

Yes, that might work. Lots of people commute from Bellevue and Fairview to Maryland Farms that way.

The only problem with Murray Lane is that you would head into Brentwood Middle/High traffic if it's between 6:45 and 7:20.

There really isn't an easy way... you could turn left on Harding and come down Estes, zig zag through Woodmont to Bowling to Sharondale and then right on Hillsboro

The school zones are an issue. We are traveling (along with everyone else apparently) from 7-8 in the mornings and 2-3 in the afternoons.
