My sister is a 68-yo retired Nurse Practitioner who is currently single and looking to relocate to Nashville from the Northeast. She is looking for a smaller- to medium-sized 55+ community within 30-40 minutes of center city. She is hoping to live among reasonable, neighborly folks that aren't too conservative, and certainly are not too leftist.

Helpful community features would be well-organized social / engagement activities, a pool (preferably year-round), and possibly available on-site transportation options (maybe a minivan shuttle) to town for shopping, worship, entertainment, etc.

She has a budget of up to $400K for the purchase price and up to $1,000/Month for the community dues.

I thank you all in advance for any comments and suggestions.

-Carrie

I'm not sure of the name of it but there is one right by St Henrys in West Nashville and within spitting distance of the JCC which has a pool.

Isn't that assisted living?

OP: Is she looking for a Del Webb type place or other?

I think Beazer Homes has a 55+ community up in Hendersonville that'd fit the budget.

Del Webb Lake Providence in Mt. Juliet is very nice. She should be able to get a small house for her budget.
