I would love to be there but seeing as though I live in NC and schools are still in here I was not able to come...I did go when I lived in Nashville 3 years ago. I remember it was VERY hot during the day and it was the year all the tropical depressions came through so we got soaked the last night, made for some funny pictures. I really enjoyed it though and I think its something any country music fan should check out at least once. Don't forget all the lesser known musicians on the water front during the day, you never know you might see the next big star!

A friend of mine is a songwriter and the 2007 European CMA Male Vocalist and he was hosting a charity show that I went to Thursday night off Music Valley. Don't think I'll venture downtown though. I hardly ever go downtown when it's NOT packed with tourists.

I got to hear T. Graham Brown for the first time in years...and he's still as good as ever. Just a little grayer and as he said he's a "bigger" star than ever. It was good to hear him again. Some good ones have faded away/

Found a new great songwriter too....Kerry Kurt Phillips. He wrote "Almost Home" and "Don't Rock the Jukebox" to name a couple. He is really good, folks. Has a great one "in the can" called "This Ain't Nothing". It will be a big hit someday....take my word for it. For you "myspacers" look him up and give him a listen. I think you'll agree.

I dug this thread up, wondering who is going this year. My husband and I are going to the Saturday night big show. We just got a room at the Hilton downtown so we don't have to deal with parking or driving home afterwards. I'm excited!

I must say it's refreshing to read that locals enjoy it. I've noticed that most of the time on this forum, the locals like to dis the more touristy things. We're having fun with all of it!
